To close a course for its students, you have two ways to approach:
1.1. Go to Courses tab on Blackboard.
1.2. Find the course you want to close for the students and click on the ••• icon on the top right corner of the course image. From the menu tha opens, select the option "Complete or make course private."
1.3. After selecting the indicated option, proceed with the "Make Course Private" option, and your course will now be closed for the students but still be accessible for you.
Another approach you can follow is within the course you want to clsoe for the students:
2.1. Open the course you want to close for your students.
2.2. From the course page, find the indicated option below the Details & Actions part of the interface on the right side of your display.
2.3. Once clicked on the option, you will be greeted with the same display you would have seen if went with the first option. From there, again, select the "Make Course Private" option and your course will be closed for your students but still be accessible by you.
